Programming Architecture

Whenever we do our own code we program in MVC (see the wikipedia article for what it is). This allows us to program the design, logic, and database structure of the website in parallel. It also allows our designers to focus exclusively on the design and our programmers to focus on the logic - they don't have to worry about the other persons job. This accelerates our programming time incredibly and each portion of your website will be done by the best person for the job here.

Programming Stack

For websites, a "stack" is a set of software subsystems/components needed to deliver a fully functional website or service. This generally consists of an Operating System, Web server software, Database, and programming language. At Jamu our programmers have years of experience in diverse platforms and technologies. Ranging from Microsoft solutions (Windows, .NET, MS SQL, etc...) to open source solutions (Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Perl, Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, etc...), and others (Oracle, Solaris, IBM DB2, Apple Mac, ColdFusion, etc...).  However, given the choice we always program in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python).

Project Manager / Communicator

Besides great programming talent, a well executed project has great collaboration between us and the you. Each step needs to be written, dated, and verified. We have to communicate well, and have multiple milestones on large project to assure you of the project progress. All our project are managed in Basecamp, the industries leading Project Manager - focused on communication and collaboration, not meaningless graphs. You will always have a dated log of all our communications, important documents, milestones, tasks, etc... just a few mouse clicks away.
